Hand-carved faux wood, made entirely of plaster.
The restaurant was constructed on a tight schedule in an extremely congested, active Downtown Disney, where every delivery and work window was constrained by live operations.
The design called for a custom hand-carved faux-wood finish made entirely of plaster, a finish that required multiple mockups and design deliverables before full installation.
How Caston Built It
The approach that kept the date
Hand-carved faux wood in plaster
Caston plasterers created the custom faux-wood finish by hand, a specialty themed plaster scope executed in house.
Proven through mockups
Multiple mockups and design deliverables locked the finish before the work went permanent.
Design-build framing
Metal stud framing ran design-build, keeping engineering decisions inside the tight schedule.
Working a live district
Logistics, access, and sequencing were planned around the crowds and operations of an active Downtown Disney.
Scope Self-Performed
